Political Nightmare

So let me begin by saying, my thoughts & opinions are just that, My thougths & MY opinions, you are entitled to yours & they do not  have to align w/ mine. 

I was raised a Republican & have always been a Republican, until now that is. So omg that makes me a Democrat now? No...I am now neither, and simply of an independent mind, following my heart & going in the direction of right vs wrong. I voted for Donald Trump his first term, I was an avid supporter as ashamed as I am to say that now. I let my distaste and distain for Hillary Clinton force me into supporting a man that I had no business supporting. 

I obviously still have such a conservative way of thinking on a lot of views, but I have over the years changed so much of how I used to think & I'm so proud of that.

The first time I voted for Trump, I learned the hard way, as did so many others. I've often said when it comes to voting for him the first time "Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me."  I sat back & watched the chaos he created, the disgusting vile things that came out of his mouth. And the worst of it all was how so many so called Christians claimed they voted for him bc he was a Christian. If Donald Trump is a Christian, then that's a religion I want no part of. Donald Trump is an egotistical clown & it is outrageous the excuses so many make for him.

The way some supporters have excused the way he talked about Biden having cancer, and that is okay to you? Biden's political stance & the way he ran his presidency has absolutely nothing to do with this man having Cancer. The way people can't see no one NO ONE should have a hateful word to say about someone being diagnosed w/ Cancer. He is a father, a husband, a son. I loathe Hillary Clinton, if she was diagnosed w/ Cancer I'd have nothing bad to say. On a simple human level, who does that?

He has insulted our military, he has thrown childlike tantrums for all the world to see when someone dares to challenge his way of thinking. There is not a professional bone in his body & he has made a mockery of our Country. The fact that so many of you are proud of someone like this representing our Country, you are surely allowed to feel how you feel, but I am truly dumbfounded on how anyone ever could.

I have watched good people scared to death that they're going to be deported, simply because they are here trying to give their children a better life. They pay taxes, they work their asses off, they are simply trying to give their families a better life. And those having to do so illegally do you have any idea how hard they're fighting to become citizens? Do you have any idea how hard our Country has made it for them to do that? Are there bad people? sure. So we punish everyone because of the ones that are bad? Instead why are we not putting into place a better system? Why are we not making it easier for the good people trying to simply give their families a better life? We make it nearly impossible & then go on a rant bc they're here illegally. Human beings are human beings, EVERYONE deserves a chance to give their children a better life. Until you have come across a woman in tears because she is fearful for her kids future you have no idea what you are talking about. Until you see a woman working 7 days a week sometimes 12 hours a day just to provide for their family, you have no idea what you're talking about. I believe in a secure border, and I hope we can achieve that, but I also believe we should be making the process to become legal citizen's much more of an attainable goal.

I just simply believe hate will never be the way, and he is the mere definition of hatred.

So many people voted for him simply bc of gas prices or grocery prices, and if that was your reason, please educate yourself further next time you vote. Have you seen a change in that? No? Did you honestly believe that you would? Covid crashed our economy & we haven't been the same sense, and Trumps threats to increase tariffs will do nothing, but drive up prices even higher. Literally all he is achieving thus far is pissing off other Countries and creating unnecessary wars. His ego will always be greater than his desire to improve upon this Country. It baffles me that so many of you still believe he cares about anyone other than himself & the rich. 

For those of you I have angered in this blog, I ask you one thing, if you truly claim to care about others how in the world can you continue to support a man so vile & disgusting? Our leader should at the very least show common decency & respect for others. The way he treats people that disagree w/ him is disgusting. No leader of a country should be a sexist, bigot, racist, narcissist, yet that is exactly who he is down to his core.

Human decency matters, spreading kindness verses hatred matters. Choosing to spread peace & love rather than evil & war will always be the right choice. I am living proof that you can change your way of thinking. I was that die hard republican that would vote for a republican simply bc they were republican no matter what their views were. I was the person who got excited when we went to other Countries to "blow some shit up" I was the person that used to sit & laugh at his disgusting remarks during press conferences. If I can change, you can too. You can start to change your way of thinking & understand something as simple as human decency. The most beautiful thing about our Country has always been our freedom, our military fought & continues to fight for our freedom. They have never been given the credit they deserve, our greedy politicians get all the glory & money, when it's always been our Military putting their lives on the line.

I can tell you this, it has never been a democrat that has attacked me for my views even when I was a fool that supported Trump. I can however say, since I have changed my way of thinking & went against Trump those people have attacked me for not agreeing with them & dare not kissing the ring of Donald Trump. I have lost friends bc I no longer agree w/ them. I have remained silent too long bc I didn't want to deal w/ this backlash, well I'm not being silent any longer. Disagree with me or agree w/ me it does not matter to me, but I ask you to at least look into your heart & ask yourself if this is really the person you want representing your Country, and your children. If you've determined anything while reading this, I hope it's that I'm neither Republican nor Democrat, I'm for the people ALL people. White, black, asian, american, immigrant it does not matter to me & never has. I see the person standing before me, and until someone gives you a reason to hate them, everyone deserves a chance. 

If you read this & bc of my difference in political views makes you no longer want to befriend me, to that I say we were more than likely never friends to begin with. The greatest thing about our Country is our right to freedom of speech, our right to independent thinking.

Martin Luther King said it best when he said "May I stress the need for courageous, intelligent, and dedicated leadership..Leaders of sound integrity. Leaders not in love with publicity, but in love with justice. Leaders not in love with money, but in love with humanity. Leaders who can subject their particular egos to the greatness of the cause."
